is a map showing soil types around the City of Winsted. Each
soil is represented by a different color. They range from
frequently flooded lowland soils to prime agricultural loams.
A map such as this is time consuming to recreate from a USDA soil
survey map onto the computer, but it is also a useful planning tool.
The City of Winsted can now look at this map and compare it with
other information to make an informed decision regarding future
growth and development.
