Regional Transportation
Planning and Studies

MMDC is currently in the process of preparing a long range transportation plan.  The Commission from time to time prepares other transportation studies for the region.  Some past examples of studies done by the Commission are:

  • State and Regional Route Study

  • Highway Jurisdiction Study

  • Minimum Maintenance Road Study

  • Township Roads Manual

  • Highway 12 Corridor Economic Study

  • The Effects of Highway Upgrading on Economic Activity

  • Road Recording Manual

Staff also are occasionally appointed to statewide committees to assist with statewide transportation planning issues.  Some of the more recent examples of statewide committees that staff have participated are:
